Guest guest
I was told I would debate ( live ) Dr. Doug Rice who recently got his degree (1998) and heads the microbiology lab at CSU and that we would have 10 minutes. When they put my earpiece in, they informed me they added an attorney and a BBB lady which gave me 2 minutes instead of 7 minutes. I talked about the diseases CDC has found in the evacuees and rescue workers and the six deaths from infections and the poorly trained remediation companies and the do it your self sampling kits, some of which are nothing more than a piece of scotch tape and a lab address. That was a lot of material for two minutes. I wanted to talk about : 1. the symptoms of mold poisoning 2. and that most of the homes in New Orleans can not be " cleaned " , and they must be torn down, 3. and the toxic sludge in New Orleans was found by EPA to contain E. coli, pesticides, chromium (the Brockovich film) and petroleum, ie benzene 4. etc, etc, etc, etc. ..............there was just no time Dr. L. Lipsey ( 904 ) 398-2168 Forensic Toxicologist and Instructor University of North Florida, HazMat/OSHA Univ. Fla. Medical Center Jax, Poison Control Board Fla. Comm. College Jax, Institute of Occ. Guest guest
Dr Lipsey, we can add your latest " kick in the butt " to the inexorably growing list of the increasingly difficult positions in which denialists must contort themselves in order to " Break their necks looking the other way " . When ignorance is no longer a feasible excuse and the attempts to appear oblivious assume a deliberate intent, I think the newly coined term for " conspicuous ignorance " is appropriate: " Conspignorance " . - > I wanted to talk about : > 1. the symptoms of mold poisoning > 2. and that most of the homes in New Orleans can not be " cleaned " , and > they must be torn down, > 3. and the toxic sludge in New Orleans was found by EPA to contain E. > coli, pesticides, chromium (the Brockovich film) and petroleum, ie benzene > 4. etc, etc, etc, etc. ..............there was just no time > > Dr. L. Guest guest
I have never not been reduced to a burp on TV, that is why we must get a network. That was a great deal for 2 minutes. I tried to tuner in and got a page..... poorly trained remediation companies and the do it your self sampling kits, some of which are nothing more than a piece of scotch tape and a lab address. Perhaps only saved 1,000 lives...... Not bad.
