[] One down... one to go

My employer terminated me in June because I refused to return to the office

that was making me sick. Their " expert " did another test and said that the

levels were higher outside than in, so there was no problem. even though the

levels increased in my office, AFTER their so-called remediation. If I got

sick at the lower level, I was definitely going to get sick at the higher

level. I trained my replacement (even after being fired) and then filed for

unemployment. UC determined I was eligible under the " Voluntary quit due to

medical reasons " since the work was available to me. My former employer

appealed my eligibility, so I had to go to court. In the meantime I had

gotten another job (on a temp-to-perm basis. still temp right now) so I was

really only unemployed for a month and the first week is a waiting week

anyway. The hearing with the referee judge was two weeks ago. I had to sit

right across from my old boss. It was very uncomfortable for me. Of

course, afterwards I kept thinking of things I should have said.

Anyway, today I got the judge's decision and he is UPHOLDING the original

determination that I AM ELIGIBLE for the UC benefits!!! Yeah! Thank God!

One prayer answered.

I also gave my testimony, last week, for Worker's Comp. Even though the

defense attorney had a lengthy report from the doctor they made me go to,

saying I was allergic to the molds in the office, and as long as I stay away

from water-damaged buildings I should not have a reoccurrence, it wasn't a

point-blank answer to her question. So, I am still in limbo on that. But,

after winning the UC appeal, I am feeling more confident that this WC will

soon be settled.

Ironically enough, my sister-in-law got me a " job interview " with our

Senator for this coming Monday. Can you guess what's going to come up??

:-) Even if I didn't get a job out of it, I can hopefully get the point

across about the affects of mold exposure to people's health, and possibly a

step in the right direction towards getting the legislators on the " mold

warrior " bandwagon.

God bless.
