Guest guest
Hi, This is a very good effort. I am sure that if the facility is not filled and used by patients from the North East region, when there are enough patients in West Bengal itself, if not Kolkata itself, to make full use of the same. I may sound a bit pessimistic in the face of a good effort, but I continue to feel that the best service and care can be rendered only at a place that is near to where the patient lives, and Kolkata is not easy to access for many [most?] people in the North East. The bureaucracy and funding dynamics often determine where service delivery outlets are set up, but to expect patients in need to have the resource or the energy to come to the facility in Kolkata from all over the North East is bit far fetched. Maybe it would be really good and nice if the people who are in control of fund flow put their mind together and try set up such 10 bed hospices in the various state capitals of the North East [without compromising on the quality of service, if I may so add as a footnote].
