Guest guest
Sorry ... a bit off topic ... Desperate for assistance. Our family is in a very hard-hit area of Mississippi. We've just learned the upper right-hand section of the eye went directly over the entire community where all of our relatives live ... in a very RURAL area. We are trying to find some type of organization that might (1) be able to check on them or (2) be able to assist us in making arrangements to get there and check on them ourselves. Our family is large - there are at the very least 100 - 150 family members located throughout the farming community, which is not situated close to any city or town ... not for miles. There are several elderly people who will need meds, etc. - We are in dire need of assistance. We've tried the Red Cross and FEMA - Every phone number is either busy or leaves us on hold for hours. There has got to be some type of organization to help people in this situation. We've got to check on them. If anyone has any ideas ... please let us know. Thank you so much. Guest guest
Laurie, I'm very sorry to hear of the situation your family now finds themselves in. I'm sorry that we can't offer much more than our prayers and hopes that your family and many, many others get through this. Keep trying those numbers 'til you get through.
