Manchester Teacher Files Discrimination Lawsuit

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- A Manchester teacher is suing the school

department, saying administrators passed her over for an assistant

principal's job and gave it to an unqualified man, then retaliated

against her for complaining.

The discrimination lawsuit alleges when Gatsas complained to

the state Commission for Human Rights, she was transferred to mold-

filled classrooms in the basement at Hillside Middle School and

subjected to rude and hostile behavior.

The school department would not comment on the lawsuit.
