Guest guest
, Mold does cause MS! I was diagnosed with MS after exposure to Stachybotrys Chartarum and Chaetomium Mold found in a supposedly remodeled home. Yanni Zack of California [] MS Another coincidence? While at the hospital getting chest x-ray and upper GI, (which took hours, yucky white stuff!)who should I meet but another employee from work. She was getting similar tests as well as CT scan. Her doctor told her he suspects she has MS! I tried to educate her on mold such as stachybotrys & chaetomium but she is the type of person that you just can't talk to. Even though she has the same symptoms as others at work, she is in major denial. She denies having rashes but I saw her at work months ago scratching and saw the rash on her myself. She denies ever having a sinus cold but I remember the days she was borrowing my box of kleenex and then she was off work for several days with no voice due to this " imaginary cold " . I begged her to at least mention what I said to her doctor so he can investigate further. She just laughed and said that " mold cannot give you MS " . I am just sick to my stomache that she won't even consider the possibilty that the work-place did this to her. She was not sick before working there. At least I tried! Guest guest
You know mold can cause MS and I know that now too, but this girl denies it and is not going to tell her doctor anything about others getting sick at work. She is the type who does not want to be lumped in with others. " I don't have what everyone else has, I'm different! " those were her exact words.. --- In , " Dr. Yanni Zack " <drzack@a...> wrote: > , > Mold does cause MS! Guest guest
, Believe me, we understand. This is the same way my wifes fellow employees reacted when we started to inform them what we thought maybe causing everyones illness. Years later even after we had definate answers they wouldn't listen and some were very sick. Their excuse was, " I need my job and the insurance. " And I said so did my wife, but her life/health was much more important. You can only do so much and you can't convince those who won't listen. They have to learn the hard way. Some females were pregnant while they were in that building, so you know what's running through my mind. To this day, even after all the testing they (management) haven't informed or anyone else what is in that building. The employees were specifically told not to talk to us, I wonder why!! Guest guest
I do find it frustrating though, you know exactly how I feel. Which reminds me that another co-worker did mention that several girls had miscarriages. She wondered if the building is what caused it. I know of two miscarriages at work of young healthy girls late 20's. > > While at the hospital getting chest x-ray and upper GI, (which > took > > hours, yucky white stuff!)who should I meet but another employee > from > > work. Guest guest
, I know there has been some research on this, miscarriages and their possible causes. But you know just like the critics claim about the rest of the research, nothing to prove it. But we know different. I'm not aware of any miscarriages, but I do believe both of them went full term, but from what I have been told these are two more children that will have asthma along with several other ailments. It's a shame, isn't it. The medical community has the option of making a difference and stopping this right now and they flat out refuse to. Just like some of your authorities at the CDC, they say what they are paid to say. Not what the science confirms. Another meaning for the word prostitute. > > > While at the hospital getting chest x-ray and upper GI, (which > > took > > > hours, yucky white stuff!)who should I meet but another employee > > from > > > work. She was not sick before working there. At least I tried! , I know exactly how you feel!!! I left my school in the fall of 2003 and people are still there getting sick. Some have been back and forth to Drs. who are telling them they have everything from Mono, Lupus, Epstein Barr, diabetes, hormone problems, dermatitis and the list goes on. They just do not believe that mold can make people sick!! Amazing, I guess some people just choose to be victims!! We can lead a horse to water but can't make them drink! The only ones I feel badly for are the children, since they depend on adults to take care of them and the adults aren't listening!!!!!!!!!!!! Guest guest
I do have a question though, Were we taking this mold home to infect our families? Someone on the forum did mention contamination from a sick workplace transferred to their car. That thought had never occurred to me, but makes sense, doesn't it? As for the cross contamination I don't know what to say. All I know is that I don't have any problems at home or in my car so I guess everything is fine. Dr. Shoemaker proved it was from my school by putting me on and off medication, in and out of the bldg. & each time checking my blood. Bottom line is I'm not sick at my home, but I do know when I go into a bad place. I get light headed & the spacey feeling, then the headache and brain fog set in. Had lunch with a friend one day & felt funny by the time my sandwich came. When I walked out the door a half hr. later I had NO IDEA where we parked the car!!! At least, now, I know what it is. Two yrs. ago when it would happen I thought I was going crazy!! Sue
Guest guest
Sue, Most people that I am talking with are relieved that others have the same symptoms as SOME Doctors are telling them it is all in their heads. It can be very comforting to know that you are not suffering alone. We are all getting impatient for the results from Environment & Labour dept. (that could take weeks). There are just a few people that are not taking this seriously. All we can do is warn them and MAKE SURE that the " nay sayers " get copies of the test results when we get them. Actually we are thinking about handing out flyers since we are not allowed in the building if we are off work (need to swipe ID cards to get in). A few that I have talked to are looking up former employees to find out if they got sick while they worked there. There are people out there that never will believe anything without concrete proof and I can respect that, so we will get the proof for them. I do have a question though, Were we taking this mold home to infect our families? Someone on the forum did mention contamination from a sick workplace transferred to their car. That thought had never occurred to me, but makes sense, doesn't it?
