AIDS VACCINE FAILURE, FRAUD

I was on my way home from a meeting the other day and on NPR it was

just announced that the VaxGen vaccine that was in trials in about

5000 people IS A COMPLETE FAILURE. They didn't even try and portray

it as anything but. It flat out didn't work. They did try and put a

spin on it having some level of pro-tection in African Americans, but

the numbers were small and very questionable.

It was quite a defeat apparently, and they were lamenting how the

first vaccine to go into phase III trials 23 years after the

'epidemic' has started is a failure! Don't worry thought, there are

many other ones in development they stressed. Whatever, but then I

found there were spin meisters at work...

According to a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation news story that

surfaced last week, trials of a new anti-HIV vaccine have shown

*mixed* results in two trial groups, and *failed* to provide any real

protection for the vast majority of recipients.

Curiously, researchers working on the new vaccine found that it did a

fairly good job of protecting black and Asian people. In other

words, - " the vaccine failed, but we have test results that show it

works beautifully well in our largest and most profitable target

markets - Asia and Africa. "
