I got stupid (yeah, I know!) and bought some canned Blue Diamond Roasted and Salted Almonds on impulse. BIIIGGGG mistake! I didn't smell it, but I sure felt it. One handful, right out of the can without checking it first, and I was sick as a dog for most of the day, and had to throw the rest out. Bad stuff. AVOID - AVOID - AVOID! Guest guest
Oh, dear. I really LIKE almonds. Do you have to get frsh almonds from the growers? Cause Blue Diamond is a grower, too- or something, anyway. Thanks for the warning. > We had some discussion here a while back about nuts - eat 'em or don't. Now, I like nuts. Guest guest
They contained toxins, and judging by my reaction to them, mycotoxins. I'm usually pretty good about buying fresh goods and giving them a whiff before eating. This time, I didn't, and paid the price. The only difference between this and any other mold hit I have experienced was the gastrointestinal symptoms were a lot worse. Drywall, anyone?
