Would you care to describe his protocol? - I mean beyond the hyperbaric oxygen.

The site doesn't really say anything about it.

Dr. Yanni.......thanks for all your replys to all my questions. I am very

uninformed as to all aspects of toxic mold, other than my internet research. My

19 yr old son and I have been exposed to mold fpr apx 2 yrs and have almost

every symptom I have seen mentioned. We just found out about our exposure this

past month in our rental home from several water leaks . Had no idea what we

were sick from until just now. Don't really know where to begin........as to

our sicknesses, where and what to do about diagnoses, our possessions in our

home, cross-contamination , etc......so I greatly appreciate all your help with

my questions. I have your phone # and may be calling you. I live in Texas and

am searching for a Dr. in our area. Thanks again. Faith

Look in this group for 'Fletch'. I believe he took his son to him.

Yanni recommended neurotoxicologist. I don't know if he is

neurotoxicologist. I guess you could Google him.

Barb,

Please see his web site- www.toxgun.com

I can assure you my doctor is a highly respected Neurotoxicologist- Please check

the web site and read his CV.

He has practiced for over 50 years. Barb, for future reference, make sure you

check your facts out before saying anything. That has helped me tremendously in

life. Just a little advice.

I contacted him by e-mail and he stated he did not treat for mold. At least the

e-mail that Dr. Lipsey gave me was wrong. (This Dr. was an

Marcie - You need to get with Shoemaker or Schaller. They do get it. I don't

know about Schaller, but Shoemaker takes insurance, and you can ask the staff

about working something out for whatever might not be covered. You won't have

any choice - you will have to travel there. There's only a couple of them (so

far) and thousands of us. But if you can make possibly make it there, I think it

might make all the difference to you.

Way tooo sick to travel! No Money to travel with. Dr.Rae in EHCD in Dallas saw

me and stated that I was one of the worst he has seen exposed to mold

but.....the money comes first. Even though they have research scientist that

work there.....I have to pay. They do not take insurance. His letter to WC is

$250. - $500. To a lawyer it is $500 an hour. ( type fast doc.) :-)

No hope right now for any help from mold docs to fix me.

I hate to hear that. But I know what you mean. The trip to MD knocked me down

for weeks on end - hard. Had I not been so desperate to get to him, I would

never have tried it. I was actually using one arm to hold the other arm up so it

could reach the steering wheel and hang on most of the way. But for all that, I

doubt was as sick as you are right now.

Does anybody have that old list of docs Shoemaker knows from the wayback

database? At least it would be something...or maybe Dr. Schaller knows someone?

(I know you docs have important issues to mind regarding this subject, and I

appreciate. But maybe somebody knows somebody who knows a little bird? Maybe?

Phone it over to Marcie?)

Marcie,

Couldn't Dr Rae at least put into writing what he saw as mold

problem for you and you take that to infectious disease doctor or

similar at your local county hospital. You should have a local

hospital willing to treat people without funds. There is always one

and usually they are teaching hospitals. In Chicago it is Cook

County Hospital. Here is Cincinnati it is University of

Cincinnati. They get funds from the city and state to treat people

without funds and without insurance if illness is serious.

Depending on your financial situation it is either free or sliding

fee. At least it used to be when I didn't have insurance.

Faith,

There have been several research groups, but sorry to say none of

them are free. The patient always pays a substantial amount. There

are so many of us that are or were looking for the same thing, but

to be honest with you, we are a dime a dozen and you can't get

someone like federal medical facilities to research something that

they are already aware of and have been for many years.

Yes...if I pay him to write the letter. I have NO income. He wants $250.-500. a

letter. I asked. No free work there. I'm just so tired now and am tried of

asking these doctors for help. I never get a response or they talk dollars

first. Seems that all the doctors I have asked don't care about saving anyones

life that can't pay cash first. So much for humanity!

Hi Marcie,

I feel the same way about these doctors that have the knowledge and

ability to help people but the only thing they seem to be interested

in is money up front.

I have been to 8 doctors in the last 2 years. Various diagnosis.

I contacted Dr. Rea's clinic because someone I met told me they

accepted insurance. Of course they don't. I did get a long letter

from a nice lady who suggested I contact the American Academy of

Environmental Medicine out of Wichita, Kansas.

I have called 3 doctors that are listed with the American Academy

only to find out 2 are retiring and the other can only set me up as a

primary care doctor and he would then send me to someone else.

And....they always ask what kind of insurance you have.

I have spent several thousand dollars of out of pocket expense and I

too am broke.

I don't live close to any of the doctors I read about on this site.

I am looking into a Dr. Stanley Schwartz out of Tulsa, Oklahoma...if

anyone has any feedback on him I would glady appreciate it.

Marcie, if you told him about the mold, then it should be in his notes (keyword

there is " should " ). All you would then need is a copy of your records, which

most offices will still do for free. I have so far not run into doctors feeling

they need to write one another letters that way. Those are usually only needed

for non-medical entities. The docs usually just want the labs and maybe the

notes (some won't read the other docs' notes even if they have them). I have had

to get and keep my own set of records because everyone from the insurance

company to Santa Claus seems to think they need them. Makes for interested

reading sometimes, too - you sometimes wonder if those are even your own

records, since the docs version of the visit is often riddled with inaccuracies

and often nothing whatsoever about the main topic of the visit.

Anyway - requesting your records may provide documentation you can have for no

further cash outlay.

Marcie,

I know this is true. We have lost alot of humanity somewhere in

time. Now everything is about money. Sabin passed up the

opportunity to patent his vaccine for 'was it polio'?, because he

said that would limits it's use and he said every child needed to

get it. Now people throw away studies and findings on things that

could cure this or that IF they can't patent something in it for

profit. They used to name buildings or parks after people who did

great things, now they name them after someone with alot of money.
