Guest guest
WHY? Saturday, 21 August 2010 Most people I know exercise because they simply want to lose weight. They'll ask, ", if I come to your classes often enough and workout regularly, will I lose weight?" See, they all concentrate on the weight-loss aspect of losing weight but, believe me, there're so many more benefits you get thanks to regular exercise. Why should you workout? Well, sit back and let me tell you...WHY. You should workout because you'll lose inches from that body of yours and fit more comfortably into your clothes. Are your clothes a little tight on you right now? Are there some things in your closet you just can't wear anymore? Well, when you workout faithfully and get that body of yours sweatin,' in time, you'll be able to effortlessly zip up those jeans and feel good in them. (And won't that be a nice feeling?) When you're fit, you can fit into your clothes. No more taking those deep breaths, sucking your stomach in and flinging yourself across the bed in order to get on that favorite pair of jeans. (I know you won't miss that bit of "exercise!") When you workout, you get this feeling of self-confidence. You feel like you can take on anything and win. Because you're now wining with your health. When you workout regularly, you'll have more energy to do lots of those things you may have once taken for granted. You know, like playing on the floor with your kids. Or taking a trip and really enjoying it because you can walk around with ease now as you take in the sights. Oh, you won't believe your energy level. You'll start feeling...like me. LOL. When you workout, you'll not only have a fit body but you'll develop a fit mind. When I'm working out, all I think about are the positive things in my life. I'm telling you, negative thoughts don't stand a chance in this mind of mine when that sweat is pouring off me! When you get your workouts in, your body begins feeling healthier. Your heart and lungs have more stamina and work more efficiently. Your posture improves, too. In many cases, thanks to their exercise, a lot of people see the benefits of lower cholesterol and blood pressure. (Oh my, so many benefits!) When your doctor gives you a good report following your physical with a smile on his or her face, you'll see that every sit-up and pushup was worth it! And don't forget, when you take good care of your body by exercising regularly, you'll live longer! I've seen so many interviews with people who've lived into their 90s or even past the century mark. They all say their gifts of longevity came from eating right and keeping those bodies of theirs moving! You should also know that people who exercise regularly handle stress better and...that means less wrinkles as you grow older. (Now there's a good deal!) So any time you're thinking of not getting in your workouts, I want you to remember today's message. Let it remind you how important it is to sweat... and not only to lose weight, either. But so you can fit comfortably into your clothes, have more confidence, have more energy and live a long, long time...until every hair in your head turns a beautiful silvery white!
