Thank you . I've heard good things about that book, but I don't know if it tackles the cases such as mine? I live in a house where no visible mold growth can be observed, no moldy smell, nothing perceptible with five senses, yet since I'm so sensitive to even small amounts of spores and mycotoxins I suffer from cross-contamination all the time while other people aren't noticing anything whatsoever and my stories seem like bad science fiction to them. Another thing which I think is different in my case is that I recover my health pretty quickly as soon as there is no exposure to mold for several days. Therefore I doubt the mold has caused some permanent damage to my body which could be detected by the tests proposed in that book. But who knows? > But while you are reading Mold Warriors, hit your friends with the > Bible references. Anyway even those examples from the Bible refer to cases when mold has grown so much as to be already visible. Here people will believe only the scientists and doctors, but unfortunately 99,9% of them are totally and utterly ignorant about toxic molds and what problems they can cause. Guest guest
Branislav, There is plenty of research that is easily available to you, many that have been peer reviewed. I apologize that the files here are not in the order they should be and kept up todate. This websites domain (I guess that's the correct term) is not really setup for large amounts of stored information. They only allow you very little amounts of MBs. But I will tell you were you can excess it, with all that you need and up to date. www.mold-help.org You can also try www.mycotoxicosis.com that one is only three pages and is fairly easy reading. It gives you the names of the molds, the toxins they produce, what organs they effect and references. This is very valuable. I hope this helps, KC > > > The book you want is " Mold Warriors " by Dr Ritchie Shoemaker. > > http://personalconsult.com/MoldWarriorsMain.html > > > > It's more than the anecdotal stories like so many mold books. > > Mold Warriors explains the science behind mold illness and > > introduces testing methods for physicians that allow identification > > of the inflammatory markers. > > > Thank you . I knew about the first site (mold-help.org), but not about the second one. I'll check it out as well. I think www.mold-help.org is good for general information and it really does list lots of references, be it books or scientific journals. But there's one big drawback - it is " only a website on the Internet " . People here want you to show them a book written by a scientist, not a website. (Rationale: " Anyone can write just about anything on the Internet nowadays, it doesn't mean it is true. They probably just want to sell you some stuff. " ) *sigh* As for the counterpart site www.mold-survivor.com I am a bit puzzled by its content. It seems they want to list products and companies for mold remediation that meet their strict criteria, but I couldn't find any information about simple mold removal methods and products one can use by himself. Sure, if the mold problem is very large it should be left to experts, but a few pieces of advice about common chemicals that do work (borax, salt, tea tree oil etc.) should have been published there IMHO. Pity you missed out on all the recent discussions in which I addressed these very issues - especially the lack of odor and cross contamination difficulties. Important to understand these characteristics if you really want to master the situation. But the messages are all there just waiting to be read. Dr Shoemaker included my story in Mold Warriors because I am one of the survivors of the Incline Village CFS epidemic which brought the " CFS " phenomenon to public awareness, and I told the doctors about the mold connection from the very beginning. Not only that, but I developed an " extreme avoidance " protocol which took me out of the most aggressive antiviral program available only to AIDS patients and returned to mountain climbing in a spectacular demonstration of the " avoidance effect " . Send me an Email and I'll show you some pictures. -
