Guest guest
Dear Dr Manorama, It is true that more and more doctors are coming to the field of HIV. But not enough. Many of the hospitals which serve PLWAs are now being identified as HIV centers eg:YRG and Thambaram. Many of my friends from TN tell me patients even from Kanyakumary and Trichy districts are being referred to Thambaram for care.(I dont think things are not better in Kerala or even in Mumbay)Is it a good trend? One reason for is that there is no money in HIV treatment/care. One institution you forgot to mention in your mail is CMC vellore which is really doing some work in HIV -treatment, policy, training, research etc. Dr Ajithkumar.K Sr Lecturer in Dermatology Medical College Chest Hospital MG Kav ,Thrisur, Kerala,India PH 0487-333322 E-mail: <trc_ajisudha@...
