Guest guest
DECLARATION OF FAITH Sunday, 06 November 2011 I love my web site's Clubhouse and I simply adore my Clubhouse members. They often write to let me know how they're doing with their weight-loss. And, I must say, I've learned a lot about life from listening to them. (It really is a two-way street between us.) I received a very interesting e-mail from one of my Clubhouse members. What she had to say really touched and motivated me. Now the other day, I received a very interesting e-mail from one of my Clubhouse members. What she had to say really touched and motivated me. In fact, her words moved me so much, I wanted to share what she said...with you. You've got to see this so--here's what she said: Hello, . I wanted to write something for myself I'm calling my own "Declaration of Faith". I could have written it down in my journal but I wanted to do it this way. I wanted a witness for my Declaration and for that job...I chose you! "I promise to you, my back, my knees, my ankles and my feet that I'm going to stop causing you so much pain. I make a promise to you, my spirit, that I'm going to set you free. You've been trapped beneath my weight for so many years and I know you want to be happy again. You want to be able to go hiking in this body in the beautiful mountains near where I live. But you've never been able to because I've had you trapped inside all of these pounds. I'm making this promise...this DECLARATION to you, my body and spirit, that I'm going to set you both free!" When's the last time you made a promise like that to yourself? Wow! How powerful is that, huh? When's the last time you made a promise like that to yourself? If you've been overweight for many years, I'm sure you've promised other people in your life that you were going to lose the weight. But, truth is, the most important person for you to make that promise to is...yourself! This Clubhouse member of mine was so honest. She named all of the parts of her body that hurt because of the extra weight she was carrying. And you know what? It wasn't just physical pain she was feeling, either. She had to deal with the mental pain that was causing her very spirit to suffer...all because of her weight. I hope this Clubhouse friend of mine reads her Declaration of Faith everyday. You see, I really want her to lose that weight as much as she wants to lose it. I want to see her hiking in those majestic mountains near where she lives. I want to see her spirit set free. I want you to write your own Declaration of Faith! Hey, I've got an idea. Today, I want you to write your own Declaration of Faith! Compose it on your computer, print it, keep a copy with you, read it everyday and...live by it. And oh yeah, of course...I will be your witness!
