Guest guest
YOU'RE GLOWING! Saturday, 28 January 2012 Oh, that sweat! After your workout, your face is just about glowing because you're so drenched with the stuff! Feeling good about it? Well...you should! Because as it turns out, those lines of sweat running down your face after a good workout are not only helping you eliminate pounds. Sweatin' also helps eliminate lines and other signs of aging from your face. Oh, my goodness, looks like the list of reasons to get that body of yours moving just keeps getting longer and longer, doesn't it? In fact, let's talk about what all of that sweatin' is doing for...your skin! Sweatin' can help fight the lines that appear in our faces as we get older. Sweatin' can actually help fight the lines that appear in our faces as we get older. See, toned muscles provide more support for your skin. That added support helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and sagging in your skin. Sweatin' can help banish breakouts on your face. (Every teenager's worst nightmare.) When you exercise, your body's adrenal glands secrete less DHEA and DHT. They're the hormones partly responsible for acne. Sweatin' can boost the amount of collagen in your skin. The improved circulation that comes from working out delivers nutrients to your body's cells that produce both collagen and elastin. These two proteins give your skin strength to keep it healthy looking. Sweatin' is a natural way to detox your skin. Sweatin' is a natural way to detox your skin. All of that sweatin' cleanses your pores, removing about 30% of the toxins your body naturally generates. So when you sweat, it's almost like giving yourself a little facial. (And it doesn't cost you a thing.) I just love to sweat and now I know why my own skin has looked so good for all of these years. My skin is just loving all of that sweat because I've made sweatin' part of my life, every day of my life. And...you should, too! Hey, no wonder my students at Slimmons always look so fabulous. Not only do they look good when they're working out but when they get ready for work, school or play the next day, they look good then, too. In fact, I'd say they're absolutely glowing!
