Guest guest
23 HOURS Friday, 24 February 2012 So, what are you going to do with the 23 hours you have today? If you're a student, I hope you got your homework done last night before heading to class this morning. If you're a stay-at-home mom, you probably had to make breakfast for the kids before starting your own busy day at the house. If you're a working mom or dad, it may mean fighting traffic on your way to work. You've got 23 whole hours to do all the things you need to do today. And once you've gotten your day started, I know, there are endless things you have to get done before turning in for bed tonight. But not to worry, you'll get them all done. Hey, after all, you've got 23 whole hours to do them. LOL. Oh, I know what you're thinking. What is talking about with this whole 23-hour thing? Doesn't he know...there're twenty-four hours in a day? Well...h-e-l-l-o-o! Of course I do. But I want you to hear me out on this. So many people tell me, I have so little time to get things done in my life. Lots of days, I have to skip my workouts because I've simply got to many other things to do. Now hold it right there! A minute ago, you all wanted to remind me that there are 24 hours in a day, not just 23. But I was taking that hour from you on purpose. Well actually, I was only borrowing it because I'm giving it back to you right now. If you make that one hour-a-day for your workouts, it leaves you 23 hours to do everything else in your busy days. Okay, now that I've given back your one hour, know what I want you to do with it? EXERCISE, that's what! My point is, if you make that one hour-a-day commitment for your workouts, it still leaves you 23 hours to do everything else in your busy days. And may I tell you something? Taking the time to get your workouts in will give you the energy and focus you'll need to get all of the things you need to get done today...done! People who workout regularly tend to have more energy throughout the day. They feel better about themselves and are much more focused. That feel-good feeling, that positive attitude they get from working out stays with them...all day long! Stop it with the I don't have time excuse for not getting your workouts done. So please, stop it with the I don't have time excuse for not getting your workouts done. I've always said, since we eat everyday...it just makes good sense for us to exercise everyday, too. Take that one hour out of the day to get your workouts in. Trust me, you'll feel better, work better and look better, too. And remember, after that one-hour workout, you'll still have 23 hours left to do all of the things you need to get done. Love,
