Subject: Insect bites

Someone on another list has just asked the question how to prevent

getting insect bites without using topical insect repellant. A

couple of people have posted taking yeast tablets help, someone else

posted Marmite (similar to vegemite, if you know what that is!) and

someone else Vit B1. These could all be very similar substances. Is

there any truth in any of these working? If taking yeast helps,

would that be brewers yeast?

Thanks

Jo

It would be nutritional yeast...which is made to be a healthy food instead

of the brewer's yeast which is a by product of brewing beer etc. We drink

the nutritional yeast and put it on our popcorn frequently and it seems to

work for us.

MARYAM: ( TOXLAW.COM )

I am not aware of any trash talk from Ron Gots, but I see too much trash

talk ABOUT Ron Gots.

To answer your question, I am an expert witness in about 100 new cases a

year and I am equally devided between plaintiff and defense. I simply follow

the science and testify about 90 times a year for the party that has the

science on their side. I usually do not find out which side wins or loses

unless

the lead attorney contacts me, but the side I testify for usually wins, but

not always.

As for publications, I simply do not have time to write articles and am

not a full time professor like I was at the University of Florida that needs

to write them to get tenure. I get offers frequently to help PhD's and MD's

write a book or scientific paper, but my publications are limited to

invitational speeches at national conventions, ie American Academy of

Environmental

Medicine, National Mosquito Control Assn. etc. I did write the forward for Dr.

Shoemakers book, MOLD WARRIORS, with Bianca Jagger, recently, but that took

about an hour.

Dr. Lipsey,

I know you are very busy as you stated in your e-mail but I need some help.

I have contacted you before and you forwarded my e-mail to Dr. . I have

never heard from him or anyone. Just got turned down again by WC and do not know

what to do. Please if you can, call KC or contact him on this board and ask him

about me. My voice is very bad , so it would be easier for him to tell you. Plus

my phone is down right now because I have not had an income since July 2005.

If you need some more information, please contact me on my e-mail;

This puzzles me. Are you defending Gots? Or was somebody on toxlaw defending

him? or what?
