Guest guest
I FEEL "GOODER"! Friday, 09 March 2012 Wait a minute. "Gooder?" Is that even a word? Well, I don't think so! (Although, the phrase "do-gooder" does come to mind.) But I've got a reason for using that word today. See, each week, in my Clubhouse' chat room, my members have a homework assignment to complete before we begin our Monday night chats. Last week's assignment was to tell me three things they got from exercising regularly. And oh yes, one of my webbies told me she feels...gooder, thanks to her workouts! So I asked everyone in chat, is gooder a word? (I'll check my dictionary later. LOL.) Our chats are filled with motivation, lots of fun and we learn so much about reaching our weight-loss goals. Our chats are filled with motivation, lots of fun and we learn so much about reaching our weight-loss goals. As a member of my Clubhouse, you can join our Monday night chats and we'd love to have you at the party! In the meantime, let me tell you about some of the other things my members shared on what they get from exercise. Energized came up a few times and boy, can I ever relate to that one. The minute I walk into Slimmons, crank up the volume on my music and our bodies start moving & sweatin', that energy just flows through my body! One of my members said that exercise makes her feel feisty. And, I'm telling you, the lady who said that is already feisty enough on her own if you ask me, thank you! LOL. Another member said she felt more optimistic about life during and after her workouts. And get this, someone even said she feels more sexy and confident when she made time for her sweatin'! (Well, you go, girl! LOL.) One of my members said it feels like she's healing her body when she exercises. Here's one I really liked, one of my members said it feels like she's healing her body when she exercises. And you know what? It's not just her imagination. Lots of research and real-life experiences for that matter have shown that exercise really does have healing properties. I heard as many good things about exercise last Monday night as I had members in our chat room. Everyone had so many wonderful things to say about what exercise meant for their bodies. Now, there was a second part to this week's homework assignment. I asked everyone where they can cut time from other activities to make time for their one-hour workouts each day. Oh I know, we all get very busy and make excuses for why we don't "have time" to exercise. Some people watch too much TV. Others like to read books all day, which is good. But remember, reading is a very sedentary hobby and you need to cut some of that reading time to make your sweatin' time. And of course, how many of you spend hours at your keyboards, typing away on those computers? Sure, it's fun but the only thing you're working out is your fingers. And you're gonna have to really move every part of your body if you want to see those pounds begin to come off! You've got to make time for that exercise, everyday. Look, we've talked about what a plus exercise is for our bodies and souls. And we've talked about the things we do everyday that rob us of our exercise time. But I say, you've got to cut back on some of the other things you do and make time for that exercise, everyday. If you do, you'll feel more energized. You'll feel more feisty. You'll feel sexier. You'll feel more optimistic about life. You'll heal your body and, oh yeah, one more thing you can expect from regular exercise. You'll feel just plain old GOODER, too!
