Hi Ling,

This is . I'm curious about you mum. Is she being given anything

for her pain? Also wha about something to help her sleep at night? She

would be so much more comfortable if she had something to continually control

her pain. What part of the country do you live in. I'm still trying to

figure out who everyone is and where they live. :-)

My

mum is a diabetic, and has recently developed gangrene in her left leg.

As a result, she is feeling great pain which causes her to be unable to

sleep properly at night. She cannot lie flat on her bed for too long, she

often has to sit up and let the blood flow to her leg- that is the only

way to make her feel better. However, she often dozes off while sitting

in bed, so she fell off her bed several times, causing that subdural haemotoma.

She began to have speech problems, so we were worried and brought her to

the emergency department.

Hi ,

I'm curious about you mum. Is she being given anything for her pain?

She is taking Vioxx in the morning and Tramadol three times a day. She is also taking Atarax/Hydroxyzine for her chronic itch, and this drug also makes one sleepy, I think.

What part of the country do you live in.

Yeah.... so bad that I could hardly concentrate in class today. Took my Vioxx and did not work. I may be seeing my doc on Fri if my mum is not admitted. If she is, I will most likely postpone my appointment.

There is a family quarrel currently going on now....... DAD's the problem...... I don't call him a man. Here cursing his wife that her leg will be amputated soon. *#$!#*!!! Man, I have enough already, with so much stress with mum, now I have to deal with this "man".

To make things worse, my sis is blaming me for the cause for this quarrel. I had not hang the laundry yet, so this 'Man" [dad] is hanging the laundry, grumbling at the same time that we are treating him like a maid. The thing IS, I am rushing through my homework and emails so that I can sit next to my mum and keep her company. Without finding out more about the situation, she just shouted at me.

feel free to vent anytime you want. You can even just write to me

to vent if you want... I will listen, we all need to do it, sometime more

often than usual, but if it keeps you sane that is all that we care about!!

Dear Ling,

Even if your mother goes back to hospital, get those migraines looked at sweetie. You need to look after yourself also. If you are trashed with a migraine you will be no use to yourself, your studies or your mum.

I've added your dad to the slapping list. Sounds like he deserves it.

Remember with your sister hon, that sometimes people don't cope with stress so they get angry. I know its no excuse but it does happen.

Welcome back Ling. I too hope you stay on. You are going to have to do

what you feel is right for you at the moment with your Mum. If you want to

sit with her then that is what you should do. She is very sick and your

time is precious now with her. Enjoy her talk to her make the moments last

as you will not get another chance when she is gone. As Anne would say,

just my 2 cents worth!!!!

Hi Aisha,

Hope you don't mind if I poke my nose in hear again. Does Ling get

migraine headaches? Does she also have FMS with it? If her doctor hasn't

tried Imitrex injectable (non narcotic), it was absolutely the best for

me. If I feel one coming on, I set up the set injecter, pop it on my leg,

hold it there for five second, and with 5-10 min., my headache is TOTALLY

GONE. I hope it always stays that way. That is one "excellent" medication

for me!

I feel like I've been gone forever! Let's see: got sick last Wednesday, Zachary got it Friday, I got it Saturday in the middle of the night, talked to Terri Sunday ('s birthday & I was too out of it to participate), Monday went to the hospital & ended up having minor surgery & had to spend the night (he hated that)!!!

Is that busy enough or what? I think we are all pretty much better now though. I'm still a little dizzy, but says I'm always dizzy! He is doing fine, and is back to work. I just finished reading about 200 emails. I haven't even been near the computer since last Friday! I think I was having some withdrawals!!! It'll be a few days before I can get back into the swing of being on every day though.

Shaye-That's great about your order at the spa. Lyn-Good luck getting 1000 tins done for your order. nne-Have fun house hunting and take your time! I think maybe said this, but the right house will present itself to you in time.

I'm back !!!!!

They moved our "new" trailer in a couple of days ago but were still working on it, we move in fully tonight, obviously the phone company just left and installed my internet

SO . . . a whole new year huh? Let me tell you this is MY year. This year it's all about me and my health, both mental and physical. I'm casting off the negative people from my life, the enablers, the hate mongers, all the nay sayers. I'm losing and am going to continue to lose, I WILL make my March 31st goal, and I WILL get this weight all the way off THIS YEAR.

I'm so glad to be back with everyone and I hope everyone is having an excellent losing start to the year. Remember YOU have to do this YOU command your body YOU make it happen. So let's make good things happen for us this year!!!
