But a lot of women worry about their skin as a result of losing weight. Now one of the first places your weight-loss shows up is in your face. But I believe everyone can have healthy, beautiful skin, (no matter what they weigh), if they take good care of it by doing the following things. I wonder how many women get up in the morning without putting even a little moisturizer on their faces? First of all, you've got to moisturize your skin...and I mean everyday. I wonder how many women reading this message get up in the morning without putting even a little moisturizer on their faces. (And by the way, that goes for you guys, too!) I used to love watching my mother get ready for work. The first thing she did every morning was to moisturize her face from her forehead to her chin. My mother sold Coty Cosmetics at the beauty counter of Maison Blanche department store on Canal Street in New Orleans. And boy, did my sweet Shirley ever have beautiful skin...hardly a wrinkle, even as she got older! So, having learned from the best, I followed in my mother's footsteps. I moisturize my face each and every day. Now there're a lot of expensive creams on the market. There's one fancy cream that contains orchid oil. One jar of it costs 350 bucks! Another cream you'll find in some upscale boutiques actually contains 24-karat gold, oh my. Ready for the price of that one? Try $575.00 for a three-ounce jar. What?! Now look, you don't have to buy those expensive creams to make your own skin look fabulous. You can go to your local drugstore and find yourself a jar of Oil of Olay Pro-X Wrinkle cream for a lot less. And, believe me, it'll work wonders for your skin. (Hey, I swear by it!) The other night, after class at Slimmons, a journalist from one of the cable news networks was there and she asked how old I was. When I told her I was 63, she couldn't believe it. And oh yes, I told her my little secret, Oil of Olay Pro-X, darling! LOL. Drink your water! It's a simple and cost-free thing everyone can do for their skin. Another thing you should do to help your skin stay healthy-looking is to...drink your water! Now there's a simple and cost-free thing everyone can do for their skin, right? I drink at least eight, 8-ounce glasses of water everyday and you should, too. Not only does water flush your system and help keep your insides clean, your skin lovesthe renewing effects of that good-old H20. Water is simply the #1and most important ingredient for your skin's good health. So be sure you drink up like you should. Your skin and your whole body will thank you for it! And my last tip is for you to keep your skin clean and glowing. After you moisturize, a little make-up and blush should be used to accentuate and bring out the natural beauty of your skin. Got it? All right then, face-up and do the right things to take care of your beautiful skin and...that face, that face, that beautiful face of yours!
