Guest guest
It worked!! This is the first time in HOW many months?? For the newbies who have arrived since the last Weigh In reminder, we do have a database on the Group's web site where you can list your weekly weight along with space to mark any loss/gain since your last weigh in. It's all informal and unofficial and as far as I know, nobody even looks at it or changed anything in months. I know *I* haven't, and the last time I did look at it, there was no difference since the last time I touched it about a year earlier. The weekly reminder is just there to, well, remind people that even if you hate scale and the number on it, it's a good idea to check your actual weight now and then to make sure your food and exercise programs are working, that you're on the right track. If you find too many weeks with a gain or no loss, something may have to be tweaked. If you're losing too fast, you may have to add a bit more healthy calories to your food plan. If things are *way* different, or no movement at all for weeks or months on end, maybe it's time for a medical opinion and get a check-up and lab work for things like diabetes, anemia, or thyroid or other hormonal disorders. And if you REALLY hate the scale and absolutely refuse to step on one, at least notice how your clothes are fitting, and your fitness level. Do those pants fit a bit looser or tighter? Are you having an easier or harder time climbing those stairs? The scale, like this reminder, is just a tool. Use it or not.
