Guest guest
SHE CAN DO IT! Sunday, 04 March 2012 I just love receiving an e-mail from someone filled with determination. In fact, I read one yesterday that I must share with you. I want to you read what she said, then share a few thoughts on how good this wonderful lady made me feel as I read her e-mail. My arthritis doctor said that my excess weight was only making the problems with my arthritis worse. Hi ! Once again, I'm going to try and lose weight. My arthritis doctor was very kind during my last appointment. But he said some things that really got me thinking. He said that my excess weight was only making the problems with my arthritis worse and stressed how important losing weight was for my health. He told me not to set unrealistic goals and to start out slowly. He pointed out that cutting back on the calories I consume each day was the most important thing for me to do first. So I pulled out my FoodMover which, I should tell you, had been collecting dust in one of my closets. But not anymore! I read the instructions manual and figured out how many calories I should start with. I was surprised at how simple your FoodMover was to follow. Plus, the motivational windows on the FoodMover are a big help and are really keeping me motivated. , I'm a lady in my mid-50's and weigh a little under 250 pounds. My doctor gave me a much-needed wake-up call about my weight. I've decided that I'm going to get this weight off my arthritic bones so I can feel better and do more. Wish me luck! I'm glad to see this newly determined lady has such a smart doctor. Well, you know I wish her a lot of luck! I'm glad to see this newly determined lady has such a smart doctor, too. (Hey, he sounds kinda like me!) See, I've been telling you for years that those added pounds only put more stress on your bones, joints and muscles. That's why her doctor is so right about the importance of losing this weight, especially with her arthritis! Now, what I wish most of all is that she keeps her great I can do it attitude locked in her mind. I know the arthritis probably makes exercise tough right now but she should also speak to her doctor about adding a safe exercise routine to cutting back on those calories. Because as you all know, losing weight is a "1-2-3" punch! Losing weight is a "1-2-3" punch! Cut back on the food and get your calorie-consumption under control! (Punch 1.) Make exercise a daily part of your life. (Punch 2.) Keep that attitude of yours strong and positive. (Punch 3!) And hey, it sounds like this new friend of mine is ready to start making those punches...everyday. And with that said, when it comes to reaching her weight-loss goal, all that's left for me to say is... SHE CAN DO IT! Love,
