Guest guest
Friends, I am going to start by saying, if you did not take "before" body measurements when you started this path to health, take them now, no matter where you are at along the journey! I know this is about weight loss, I know this is about getting healthy, but part of getting healthy is getting this fat off our bodies (ok, some of ours more than others) because carrying the fat around our middles, is not healthy. I took measurements back in 2004 when I started my getting healthy "thing". You have to understand: at the time I was a 37'ish year old woman that at 5'8" and weighing 310 lbs... that is in no way healthy and having a lot of fat on the body, right?? OK, that is where I was 8 years ago when I started this journey. I have to say, I am fortunate that I do not have any of the other co-morbidities that come along with being obese for so long. "Stuff" runs in my family, but I do not have high blood pressure, apnea, diabetes, or any of the other laundry list of items. Thank you, Lord, too! I am not perfect on this journey. Never have claimed to be. I have had ups and downs, delays, detours, etc but I have stayed on the journey to health. This is why I say I am not 100% OP. Maybe I will get that way in the near future, maybe I will just keep on keeping on at 90-95% OP. Whatever that is, it is fine, because it is better than what I was (or was not) doing in the past. I thought it was only 3 weeks since I graphed my measurements but it looks like 5 on computer. Maybe I did them in my notebook and didn't transfer them to the computer spreadsheet. I'm such a geeky number cruncher LOL!! OK, whatever.... in 5 weeks, the changes are: 8.6 lbs gone (roughly, it depends on which day you look at) and 9 inches BUT HOLY CRAP, overall: Bust -9.5 Waist -7.5 Abdomen -16 Hips -9 Thighs -11.5 (so about 5'ish off each) Calves +1 (go me, for exercise, LOL!) Neck -.5 (what can I say, the boobs were shrinking more than my neck, and I didn't measure this from the start, either) Arms -2 Ribs -7.5 (the area under the boobs LOL!) Knees -5 (I started measuring this after my knee surgery, to watch the inflammation go down) Weight: -54.8 lbs Total inches gone: -67.5 in BMI change: -8.3 points That 16 inch change on my tummy, my heart will thank and love me, the apple shape is not good for heart disease risk, huh?? And, I can see why my hunny is in mourning over the loss of the girls LOL!! I mean, 9.5 inches off my bust! WOW!! Did I tell you when I get a boob lift when I am done losing weight he said he is going to pay the surgeon to make them bigger?? LOL!! OhMyGosh he is a riot!! OK, I can easily say ONWARD AND DOWNWARD!! Have a great OP Sunday!! in WA 310 / 255.2 / 155?
