Guest guest
The first thing you need to do is stop looking at the big picture. Go day to day until it becomes habit. TODAY, follow your program. Exercise. Go to bed. Done. Get up tomorrow, repeat. This is my mantra: If I look down the road and see how far I have to go, I may get discouraged. If I overthink every aspect of what I need to do to succeed I may give up. If I focus on just today and make it as perfect as I can, I will succeed. Our goals can be daunting. I am 257 and my ultimate goal is 134. My highest weight was 265.9. That's a lot of weight and a long way to go. If I keep focusing on that I'll never get it done. So I goal 1 to 2 pounds a week. That's reasonable and doable. Small goals consistently succeeded will culminate in reaching your ultimate goal more painlessly. *~*~*~*"This is no longer about what I HOPE to accomplish. Now I'm drinking water. Trying something different. Now to get moving! I currently weigh 315 lbs. and wear a size 28 pants. I guess I get overwhelmed by the amount of weight I want to lose. Question, should I have a number goal or a health goal? I'd like to wear a size 20. I'd like to stop having to use my CPAP machine. Two reasonable goals I think! --Freda in VA
