Guest guest
Thank you Debi. I feel like you really got what I was trying to say. I can see why he would feel the need to choose Palin when you look at it that way. I kind of have a bias in general against Governors becoming President. I just feel like they can't have the right knowledge and instincts for dealing with foreign powers and that is of such major importance. I think that's part of why President Bush has had so many faux pas in that area - like when he totally offended the Chancellor of Germany when he tried to give her a neck rub right up on a dais in front of God and everybody, including other heads of state - something I can't imagine him doing if the Chancellor had been a man either, LOL. I don't think he got it that you couldn't be that casual with another head of state. He had an impulse, and voila another international incident gets laid at his feet. That's where my thinking is on this. That is why I said we have to use our heads when we vote. It is not a popularity contest like voting for class president back in high school, not for either party. We have to pick somebody we truly judge will do the job right, not just because we like them however much that is. It is so easy to get all swept up in the fervor - on either side! If we were going on qualifications only then Senator Biden should be the front runner. People in general don't vote on most qualified, they vote on who they like and can identify with the most. Guest guest
tina that is of not what I to want to happen of here. I to hate of that when one bashes another for their views and was hoping to stress of that here because not want of that . I to simply want of to learn so can be to gain in learning on political things. Just like of religion no one should be to force their views and or try to convert of others to thems own beleif and feel that is of the same respect ones should be to have of political views too. Each ones views should be fo respected. but was of worried that Nuhu and Don were of having differences that was worried would go to fight words and this was of to scare of me as not want of fight words just teaching and learning words. by the way I to not know for sure what bashing means as hear of this word much so but think it means fight. well the dictionary to say " to strike with a hard blow? " well that meaning just complicated the word even more for me. I to got of a dictionary to set on my desk to start looking up words that others are of using to help of me not feel so stupid but in true the dictionary just adds to my feeling that way becasuse the meanings are of often to add to my confusions. Much meanings are of so abstract and not clear with meaning but anyways I to think it means fight still so hope I to used it back right. sondra

Guest guest
Yes Sondra, I would love to belong to a group that can discuss issues in a friednly way. When I used the word " bashing " it did mean fight. The dictionary is a great idea (I should do that as well!) the hard blow was with words but still can sting like a bat! It amazes me that here in America some people act like freedom of speech doesn't exist and you can't say your opinion if it differs from someone else (not here but that other group that I spoke of). Guest guest
Well I blame the media on that one. Just like they don't discuss autism on the news and yet it is at epidemic proportions being 1 in 150 kids. If Measles or Hepatitis were 1 in 150 children there would be non stop media coverage.
