EVEN A LITTLE MEANS A LOT!

Sunday, 15 July 2012

How much weight do you need to lose? I know,

that's a very personal question. But, if you have any

weight you need to lose, it's a very important question.

Some people could make do with losing, oh 15-20

pounds. And of course, there're those who're

extremely obese and may have to lose 100 pounds or

more. I know how true this is because I receive

e-mail everyday from people who need to lose that much

weight.

42% of people in

the United States will be obese by the time the year

2030 arrives.

According to one recent projection, 42% of people in

the United States will be obese by the time the year

2030 arrives. 42%?

Wow! That's dangerously

close to half the

American population being classified as obese...in

less than 20 years! (By the way, back in 2010, that

number was closer to 36%.) So as you can see, our

country is on the fast track to gaining even more fat

and...we can't have that!

Do I even have to remind you of the health risks

associated with being overweight or obese? Diabetes,

heart problems and high blood pressure are just some

of the physical issues obesity leads to. And we

haven't even begun to talk about the psychological and

emotional damage obesity can cause. That's why it's

so important for you to take that first step and get

started losing weight. But no matter how much weight

you need to lose, here's some encouraging news to get

you started.

Losing even a few pounds in the

beginning have an immediate good effect on your

health!

Losing even those few pounds in the

beginning will have an immediate positive effect on your

health! For instance, shedding as few as five pounds

can help reduce your cholesterol levels. Drop 10

pounds and you're likely to see a drop in your blood

pressure. Plus, evidence has shown that losing only

5-7% of your weight by controlling the food and

regular exercise can delay and possibly even prevent the onset of

diabetes!

Now there's

some encouragement to get started

losing this weight! Even if you have 100 or more

pounds to lose, just getting

started can

begin turning your life and your health around. Don't

be daunted by the number...be determined to beat

it! Aim to shed 1-2 pounds a week. And by the

way, losing just one pound a week is fine, too...so

don't be easily discouraged. Remember, if you're

beginning a weight-loss program for the first time,

you're probably going to lose several pounds right

after you begin. (It's like what the Blast-Off week on my FoodMover is designed to

do for you.)

Slow and steady is the safest,

most effective way to lose weight and...keep it

off!

You did not gain those extra pounds overnight and

please be realistic, you're not going to lose them

overnight, either. You gained weight slowly. In

fact, for many of you, those extra pounds seemed to

kind of "sneak up" on you over time.

Blast off...to a good start but slow and

steady is

the safest, most effective way to lose the weight

and...keep it off! And to help you get

going, remember, every

pound you

lose does

wonders for your good health because

every pound you lose...matters. Oh yes,

losing even a little weight as you get started can do a LOT...for

your good health. Just once you get started...don't

stop!

Love,
