Guest guest
Well, I did not gain. A Plus... 263. Only .5 lose. I am going to write it off as to many items with sodium. I know I have not been overeating do to the acid reflux issue. BUT, did have a few things to much sodium. I have been reading, maybe to much... I think I have to try a different med for indigestion. I was taking ZANTAC. Doesnt work well. I notice a tick of difference. Not enough to keep buying. Going to try the omop??? one. AND I think it is GERD. I think my espohagus isnt closing and acid is coming back up. Makes sense do to the weight I gained and such. Another issue I have been trying to learn about is arthritis. Not sure what kind. When I had my shoulder xrayed he said there was arthritis and gave me cortizone shot. knock knock it worked. BUT now I am feeling pain in the other shoulder and legs. Could be in my head. BUT will be monitoring it to see if I can figure something out. AND with giving up coffee on a daily basis I cant go to the bathroom. That is what kept me regular. YUGH... I have been doing oatmeal, wheat bread, and other better choices and it seems I was more regular when I ate crap food. LOL Odd. OK ladies thanks for the vent. OH one more thing I have learned threw journaling is when you take a sleep aid (generic ambien). Even in small small amounts it may cause you to eat and not even think about it. Toodles. Be aware that cortisone itself can cause weight gain from water retention, and it also causes increase in appetite, causing to eat more and yeah, gain weight. The med is a life saver but any time I had to go on the oral version for either asthma or arthritis I always gained at least 10 pounds in those 10 days and that's white-knuckling the eating part. >BUT now I am feeling pain in the other shoulder and legs. Just Google it to get details, but in general it's eating just one or 2 foods a week and paying attention to how you feel, then adding just one new food a week until you find foods you react to. Dairy is a biggie when it comes to allergies, as is the nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, bell peppers) and lately wheat and other things with gluten (when you start reading labels you find out just how many things contain gluten) have shown in studies to affect not just arthritis but many other things, like your GI issues. A fairly new book out called Wheat Belly will really scare you with all that detail. >AND with giving up coffee on a daily basis I cant go to the bathroom. That is what kept me regular. YUGH... Drop the bread and add salads, fruit, cooked and raw veggies, even as snacks. Make meals with loads of beans as well as fibrous veggies and whole grains like quinoa or brown rice (not white). And yes, water, water, and more water. Remember the rule of a half ounce of water (nothing with caffeine or alcohol) for every pound of body weight - MINIMUM. More will help your problem.
