Guest guest
There is mold in the airconditioning of my vehicle. I was told by a dealer to put the system on recycle and spray a bleach solution into the vents and let it circulate. Anyone know if this works? Isn't there some type of chemical reaction that takes place with mold and bleach on some type of surfaces? Any other suggestions?
Guest guest
Get some grapefruit seed extract (concentrate or whatever) and mix as instructed. Then get a paint sprayer or, if you can't get your hands on one, get a spray bottle that will aerosolize the solution as best as possible. Put your air system on " vent " or whatever brings in outside air. Get a kleenex or something light and hold it outside your car near the windshield where it draws in air. When you see the tissue pulled to an area or two - that's where you need to spray this stuff while the fan is on high. It'll suck the solution into the system. Grapefruit seed extract kills mold. You should probably thoroughly clean the inside of the car and then mist down all areas inside the car too - then let air out until dry. I do this every 3-4 months - you may need to do more frequently depending on the extent of the problem. Hope this helps. Bob > There is mold in the airconditioning of my vehicle.
