Think I might becouse I'm just getting older and hep is not going

away. I always use condoms to reduce the risk of the hep being

spred. Any other sugestions on how I can have sex and not spread my

little hep C joy.

Well the "specialists" say that IF You are in a monogamous relationship that you dont have to worry as much as you should if you are having multiple sex partners. So if you are not in a committed relationship, I think using the comdoms ALWAYS is the best thing you can do..and of course to let any partner know of your hep c so they can make an INFORMED choice or not whether to have sex or not. In MY mind, that is the only responsible thing to do, but each of us must do what our own conscience tells us... Yep, the hep is not going to go away,, you can only put it in remission with tx if you can tolerate treatment. I was very lucky, I did tx and did reach SVR,, last Feb was my 2 year PCR and I was still undetectible, Im hoping to be the same in a couple of months when I do my 3 year PCR... Stay in touch hon,, and Good luck, God Bless and Merry Christmas! jackiefowlereagles2004 <fowlereagles2004@...>

Well IF you put it into remission, then that is a blessing in and of itself,, so many ppl become chronic and it takes a long time to try to beat it back and stop the progression of this disease. IF you are trying to make this relationship as real one, I wish you well and I hope it turns out as you want it to,, but in the meantime, please continue to use condoms, its not just HEPC that we have to be worried about,, good luck honey, jaxfowlereagles2004 <fowlereagles2004@...> wrote: Well if TX is needed I'm real lucky. Hi Lily,

Thanks for the " thanks. " Just for the record, the OregonDCs e-list arose from a

bunch of e-mail addresses that Dr. Les Feinberg had collected and was using for

group communiques. I merely stole his group of around 100-120 e-dresses and made

a Group out of them in October of 1999. Now we have 240 members and there

have been almost 18,000 messages posted (2000 of which have been about milk, and

the remainder have been from Dr. Abrahamson).

I know that I have learned quite a bit from the e-list and when I have had an

opportunity to meet a doc whose name I know from the e-list it is like seeing an

old friend.

Happy holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Kwanzaa, etc. to all, and keep

writing.

So, if milk

is so bad, why doesn’t the bible refer to the “land of soy protein

and honey”? And, is Dr. Abrahamson actually getting funnier, or are

my humor standards just getting beaten down? My inquiring mind needs to know.

Let me add

my wishes for the happiest of holiday seasons and a prosperous and abundant New

Year to everyone on the listserve, and to thank you, , for this valuable

digital community you have created.

Hi Les,

Your question is good ... it is one I get often. My relply has to do with the fact that milk was not as available then as now ... no refrigeration, pasteurization etc. Cows gave off their 1 - 2 quarts/day not the 24 that is the current daily norm. (Makes my boobs hurt just to think about it.) Milk was obtained from the animal and consumed. End of story. Most of it went to the motherless children, less to the adults.

today, Americans use dairy in numerous forms, a half of dozen times a day, everyday, for 6 - 9 decades. Beyond the daily assault by the large amounts of the proteins, milk in America today contains 59 hormones, 52 antibiotices (some illegal to be given to humans), pesticides, herbicides, bacteria, viruses, blood, pus and feces....just a shade different than in Moses' time.

....my 2 cents on that issue (for the 2002nd posting on that issue!)

And yes, THANKS to all of you who participate in this forum ... there is more to medicine than science and it is good to have a place where we can debate on those issues as well as the science issues.

I keep saying something similar when I

look at new workouts to buy. It is so hard to resist a new workout. I was

looking at the Kickbutt workouts and thinking I need these, but I wonder how I

would fit them into my routine. I’ve been liking basic weight work without

cardio lately – I don’t mind mixing my cardio with weights but

lately I’ve wanted to really feel the muscles working. When I can

do step aerobics again I’m not sure how to fit the Firms in the routine

anymore. I really like to work out two hours a day (because I’ve found that

this helps me release stress and combat depression) But for some reason I

just love The Firm workouts – the older ones more of course but even the

newer ones are fun. There are so many workouts I would love to squeeze

into my schedule. Today I am doing Gym Style Back Shoulders and Biceps. It was

my rest day but I took that Saturday instead. But it still is just that

and some yoga maybe. I did my knee work already. I just love

working out – I think I need more hours in the day so I can add more

workouts lol

wendy, it doesnt hurt to have a few circuit/interval workouts with cardio and weights to do twice a week. you can do your two body parts a day routine and just add on one of those firm workouts at the end of the week for like a total body cardio/weight routine. its why i keep the firms around so once in a while i can mix it up. but i do hear you on just weight lifting its pretty awesome to exhaust the muscles without jumping and sweating(well as much). i plan on some more firm workouts but that is it for cardio/weight workouts. i do lke the looks of the kickbutt collection though. fusing 4 different types of workouts in one hour a day program. they are just to expensive for the set when i can get some of the older firm titles at collage and i only want 3 anyway. kassia

Kassia,

I do have quite a few Firm workouts.

I haven’t used them since I hurt my knee. I used to do Firm rotations: a mostly

sculpt workout then a mostly cardio workout, repeat 3 times rest. And I used

Pilates, dance aerobics and yoga as add-ons or I’m not feeling that great

so I’ll do this instead workouts. I’m sure I won’t be

able to step that much for a while. But I was thinking of adding the mostly

cardio Firms into my Cardio Mix schedule for March. I haven’t finished

designing that one because I want to see if the knee can handle the step. I’m

seeing rapid improvement in the knee now but I can’t really count on that

continuing (I can hope) This knee work is the hardest for me because it is not

really fun. Even if I put some good music on it is not fun. And I feel stupid

for putting it off so long. I should have started months ago and by now I would

be stepping again. The good thing about waiting so long is it is all

healed just weak. So its not pain I feel just weakness.

with some of the newer firms that i have its pretty low impact or you can modify to low-impact until your knee strenghtens up. i hurt my knee a while back too and couldn't do cardio for almost a month. drove me nuts LOL kassia Sprague <kittyn@...> wrote: Kassia, I do have quite a few Firm workouts. Exactly...BFL by the book through the whole challenge, with the last

2 weeks just being extra strict.

Dairy was taken out for a few reasons -

1. It can cause puffiness/bloat

2. My main dairy item - cottage cheese - has tons of sodium

3. The natural sugars in dairy are said to be bad for maximum fat

loss

I didn't believe in any of those enough to take dairy out during the

whole challenge, just the extra-picky final 2 weeks.

Thank YOU!

If you do the no salt cottage cheese, I hope it still doesn't have

sodium! Yikes, I never thought to look.
