Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am very interested in hearing more about this MERV 10 product. Where do I get it? And so forth. I try to keep indoor air clean as I can. No carpet, or rugs, beds are all encapsulated in triple allergen bags, pillows the same. I run a huge 6 system filtration system. Will be getting the ducts cleaned also soon. And this product would possibly make me feel even better about the air quality. Been using it in my home for the last 2 years with good success and have to buy in 25' rolls. Agreement with chemist is that I do not give his name or link because he's selling to the big companies and doesn't have time with individuals nor set up to sell to individuals however he adopted me (felt sorry for me when I found him). Anyway I thought about selling it but there wouldn't be much profit for me in order to make it cost effective for others couldn't charge them much. So I'd be doing this almost as a freebie. Just cutting and wrapping the material in aluminum foil takes a while, then packaging and driving to the post office. I'd wrap in the foil since the activated food-grade charcoal could absorb odors during the shipping. I couldn't afford to have my Austin Air Purifier charcoal canisters changed out every 4-6 months and tried this filter material. I took out everything inside the Austin's other than the motor, wrapped the filter material on the outside of the Austin and turned it on. It's probably not as effective as the expensive charcoal canisters but works in our home. I also use it on regular floor fans to attract and absorb. The filter needs to be changed in my house monthly if not sooner and some of the MCSers I've tested it on have had a slight reaction. I started a while back a free website (not too good considering I don't know HTML codes and don't want to learn) to give examples of the filter material's applications and what it is...far from finished and stopped during my remedial work....take a look if interested http://www.freewebs.com/healthier4all/charcoalfiltermedia.htm What I'd like is to have some air purification experts test this material and receive honest feedback from them. It works here but as I said the filter material does need to be changed (like an A/C or furnace filter) often. I also tried washing the material and reusing. The activated charcoal will wash out but the material still absorbs dust, etc in the air. Not as effective but again another tool if we cannot afford the expensive air purification systems. If interested contact me privately. Rosie
