Guest guest
Attorneys will argue today before the Florida Supreme Court that a rule requiring injured workers to divulge their Social Security numbers to open claims violates the Federal Privacy Act and, in some instances, the Constitution's Fifth Amendment guarantee against self-incrimination. ****************************** I don't have the details on this. This issue of forcing people to give up their SSN for insurance claims, drivers licenses, medical care, and other day to day business has been criticized for years now. It will interesting to see how the court rules on this.
