Guest guest
I feel for you!! I hate to hear that you feel so depressed. Are you on any anti-depressants? I've been on Prozac, Zoloft, and Effexor but I don't feel any less-depressed! I keep telling the Dr. that if my pain was gone, that would make me feel happy again for the 1st time in 5 yrs.!! How is your support system there? I hope that you have someone to listen and comfort you, sometimes it's the only thing that gets you through the day. Just remember that you are doing all the right things to try and heal your body! You should be very proud of that. It's hard work and sad to be going to Dr.'s who deny our problems and trying to research things ourselves with books and the internet. Thank goodness for this web-site, if I didn't have it I wouldn't be getting any good advice about my illness. It's sad to think about not going back to work, the bad days that creep up on us really throw off being able to plan anything. Do you think that you should try part-time and just see what happens? Do they know about your illness? The only thing that has helped my depression is swimming or walking because it helps my pain so much. We just moved into a house with a pool so that I can swim every day. I also have 2 fibro friends that I met in a support group that I can call anytime day or night. I never thought that 2 of my best friends would be in their 60's! I know that you have probably seen my phone# here before, it seems like most people would rather E-mail. Sitting at the comp. for too long causes my back and shoulders to throb. I can't check my E-mail every day so I usually have about 300 posts to read. Anyway, my # is 702-361-6442 If you ever need someone to listen or to try and help you, give me a call-that goes for anyone on the group! Love, Daryl Menopause, at 39, feel like Im going crazy lately... disability yes or no? I need help and advice... Im sliding backwards everyone,,,, I think its hormonal.. cuz My health feels much better... depression and fatigue are ruling my life... Its getting too bad its scary, too many gloomy thoughts of life not being worth it... I see a doc wed, and he approaches most everything naturally, he will test all my individual hormone levels, and he supplements, w/progestorene cream if needed, testosterone shots, and whatever other hormone that is low, in the body, and include diet approaches to help, and such, and lots of supplements... my sis-in law goes to him, so I know he has helped her.... wish me luck.... night sweats are bad, but the depression is really hitting me hard.... Im not thinking straight... Any advice appreciated... I swear, these implants really screwed up my body.... menopause at 39, hypothyroidism, I know they threw my whole body out of whack.... it sucks.... This is going to be a hard road back isnt it... Ill do it... another thing, my job sent me disability papers so I can file... its been six months of medical leave, now the big decision, do I or dont I? I think I maybe able to handle part time, but I have weird days, so I cannot depend on a consistency,,, what do I do, file or not? My rheummy would sign the paperwork for me, Im so frustrated,,,, Blessings, Iggy

Time is what I need, so Ill take it.... thanks so much and I will call If I need to.... cuz not to many people can relate to what we have been thru.... Guest guest
Guys, a good alternative I've found for anti-depressants is 5-htp supplement, works the same as any other SSRI, except no side effects, only don;t take it whilst on an anti-depressant ! Guest guest
I took St. 's Wort for 4 years, and it helped tremendously.
