Guest guest
FYI to anyone trying to get disability. I filed and got turned down, so this time I've hired an attorney who specializes in disability cases. Looks like this is the way to go...wish I had used her the first time I filed. She told me that Tennessee (I live in Memphis) is at the top of the list of states where it is almost impossible to get on disability. She said 95% will get turned down on the second application! If that happens, we have to go before a judge...and all this could take up to a year for all this to happen. This is no fun. Anyway..I highly recommend an attorney when you file. Guest guest
Hi Colleen and all! I completely agree with you on hiring a disability lawyer! I was told the exact thing (I'm in Texas), that it's almost impossible to get disability without a lawyer. A year ago I filed for disability myself...and was turned down twice. I then had a lawyer file, and I'm finally making progress with the social security office. It really looks like I should get disability in the very near future. Best wishes, Kacey > FYI to anyone trying to get disability. I filed and got turned down, so this > time I've hired an attorney who specializes in disability cases.
