You are not butting in! I appreciate the info. I am not on anything for my thyroid right now. My general md has tested it twice and it was " normal " . Now I know from all the posts that there could still be a problem even with a normal result, so I requested that he send me to a specialist...so I have an appointment next Fri. I have a lot of the symptoms I've read about like temp intolerance and cold extremities. Also, sometimes at night, my temp will go down to like 96. The Fat Flush program sounds good...I know you posted the details before, but I don't remember, so I'll have to find it. I am anxious to see what the specialist finds! Thanks, !

Colleen, not to butt in ,but the chlosterol could be a sign of hypothyroisim, (that should go down once on the proper meds) as cholesterol is a hormone, one linked often to stress, and works in tune with other hormones, esp thyroid. As well as eating too many grains which raise up insulin, therefore raising cholesterol. Docs are finally catching up to this, that it is not meat or protein that raises it, but insulin surges from sugar/starch.

Another thing I have been doing the Fat Flush program for a month now, and the flax seed oil is part of the program. Wonderful! My hair is growing so fast and sheen, girl! Beautiful. I have gotten compliments all week how long and shiney it is ! And I have thyroid iisues ,so this is a blessing! The fatigue could also be thyroid, are you being treated, if so with what? I am also on the t3 treatment with great results after years of other stuff that didnot work for me, Praise God!

Shari, we are using boric acid to fight yeast infections. I buy it in powder form from my pharmacy and I fill empty gel capsules with it and use it as a suppository at night. I have had trouble with recurring yeast infections, so if I feel one coming on, I use one every night for several days and it seems to help. You can not make pills with it because if you eat it, it is toxic....kind of strange that you can put it in the other place, I know. There may be some other protocol to using it that I haven't read about, but that's the instruction I found. Hope that helps.

Hi! I have been...um...tired! The fatigue is horrible. The pain is bad sometimes, usually if I try to do too much. My hair is still falling out. It's so thin on the back of my head that I'm afraid I'm going to have a bald spot soon. Someone in the group, I don't remember who, posted a message about saw palmetto helping hair loss, so I think I'm going to try that. I am also taking flaxseed oil too because my cholesterol is sky high (which I don't get because I am a vegetarian!)...so the doctor told me to take it...but I didn't know that it can help hair loss...I guess that's incentive to make sure I take it every day! I hate taking all this stuff too. So expensive and like you said, most of it ends up in the garbage.

I have only used the boric acid a couple of times. The info I read said you are supposed to use it for several days at night before bed, but I forget because I'm so exhausted. I need to do it though.

Thanks for asking about me! I hope you are doing well...

Hello there Coleen, how have you been feeling? How is your hair loss

(I think you said you had it too?) I noticed taking flaxseed oil has

helped the texture some, and taking a powdered multi-vitaman/mineral

formual. No luck with anything else yet.

I gotta tell you, after getting that boric acid script filled, I

felt like a real 'chump'(meaning got ripped off..LOL!). I came home

and read on the net how I could have made my own, like you did for

like $25.00. Live and learn I guess. I have forgotten, just because

it comes from and alternative DR., it still does not mean I am

getting ripped off. Like there were a few products she recoomended

from the companys that SHE uses(is someone getting a kickback,,i

wonder?) that have the SAME ingredients of the supplements that I am

taking for CHEAPER. Her products were very pricey! I do NOT like

loading up on alot of supplements anyway.3-4 a day is enough for me.

After all In the first 2 yrs I think I spent about $10,000 in

alternative stuff, and half of it went in the garbage! I usually

know within one week if something is making a difference. Anyway

these boric acid capsules seem to be helping alot!! I have been

using them for 3 days, 2 times a day. Do you find them helpful also?

Hope you are having some good health days! May your health get

better and better with time!! hugs dimonds

My cholesterol went through the roof, and it is because the toxins go

straight to your liver.

Did not lower mine at all, but there are natural alternatives to drugs for

cholesterol. Research policosanol and red rice yeast. Both have shown in

long studies that they work as well as statin drugs and do not damage your

liver as statin drugs can and often do.

I have been been on thyroid (synthroid, then Armour) for over 3 years. Cholesterol did not budge. Never had a problem with it, until I had thyroid issues. The first month I cut out grains, it went down like 10 points. and this month when I went on cytomel, (T3) within a month, it shot down 30 points. I am now in normal range!

My thyroid specialist says that thyroid is one of the top cholestrerol pushers. And the first thing to go down, on PROPER treatment. Never did before on the other thyroid meds I was on. And that the thyroid is linked with the liver, when its sluggish- so is the liver. So the cholesterol shoots up. All goes together. Just thought Id share what helped me- julie
