Colleen, I think you're the one that asked if anyone had bad

experiences with doctors...my brain fog is so bad I can't hardly

remember anything...anyway, Dr. Blais suggested that I find an

infectious disease doctor and tell him/her that I needed to be

treated as if I have a long term abcess. I found one here in town

and went to him. I have seen him twice and I'm not sure which visit

was worse. They both were horrible! I brought all my info in about

the implants and how they were contaminated and all that. He gave me

a dirty look and asked me if I had any proof. Again I showed him Dr.

Blais report and the blood tests showing I have antibodies to

silicone. I told him to call Dr. Blais so that he could explain

further. He said he would and wrote his number down. I was looking

forward to the next appointment because I thought he would have " a

plan " for me but I was wrong. When I got there he showed me reports

that he printed off from the internet showing that implants can't

cause illness. I asked him what Dr. Blais said and he told me HE

DIDN'T EVEN CALL HIM! I cried and told him I just wanted to get

better and told him he is the doctor and since he specializes in

infectious diseases he should be able to treat me. He looked at me

and said " what do you want me to do? " with emphasis on the 'me'. He

just kept saying he didn't know what to do and then he said " I don't

think you have to be like this " I said what does that mean? Then he

said " I just don't think you have to be like this - if you didn't

want to be that is " Then he said something about implants and seeing

a rheumatologist. I think what he was getting at was that I was

making up all these illnesses so that I could gain something by

saying I was sick. Then I told him that I didn't even put the

illness together with the implants as the cause until November 2003 -

4 years after being sick. He was such a creep and yes I paid the

bill - I should have asked for my money back - but I paid before I

saw him. I was supposed to set up another appt but I decided not

to. I did go to a new rheumatologist and instead of telling him I

was sick from the implants, I'm letting him come to that conclusion

on his own. I don't know if he ever will, but he treats the pain and

believes I am sick whether it's from the implants or not. I don't

know if any of this helped but just knowing that we all (or most of

us) have terrible experiences with doctors, just shows that we're not

alone in this. It helps to vent.
