Guest guest
I had my implants in for 10 yrs. before I got sick. Of course, not one Dr. thought it was from my implants. I was diagnosed with fibro because I had pain in all the places they asked about. I think that Dr.s just give us the fibro label because they can't find anything else wrong. I have been dismissed by dozens of Dr.s with them saying that I just need to accept my illness and go to pain management Dr.s I went to a fibro hosp. in Chicago 2 years ago hoping to get some relief. That was the 1st time I heard about Candida. The Dr. said that most women with chronic pain have it. He asked me a few questions like "Have I been on antibiotics?" "Do I have sugar cravings?" and "Am I tired all the time?" Well, my answers were all yes. He said that the symptoms are impared memory, agitation, depression, cramping, muscle pain, and anxietySo, he gave me the book The Yeast Connection and told me all about the diet and the supplements. I had just had a baby boy then and I thought "How in the world am I going to do this!" I've had terrible brain fog for 4 yrs. and get confused over the smallest things! I was hoping that I didn't have it so I didn't have to do all the strict directions. My regular Dr. here in Las Vegas said that it was a bunch of Bull but gave me a shot of Candida in my arm anyway. He said if my arm got puffy and swollen that I might have a problem. Well, my arm was fine. So for the last few years I've been going to my Fibro support groups, keep taking all my pain meds. and anti-depressants and feeling awful about my life. I can't accept that I will always be in pain! This turned out to be a long story! I thought that I had strept throat 3 wks. ago and went to a new woman Dr.-she took a swab of my mouth and throat and called me the next day saying that I had thrush in my mouth. I had no idea what that meant. When I told Patty she said that is proof that I do have a problem with yeast. It's so frustrating to have fibro and Candida and neither of them seem to have a positive test. Plus most Dr.s that I've seen don't believe that yeast can harm your body. I'm trying to find a Dr. to give me some Diflucan-do you know how many pills I should ask for? I always feel uncomfortable asking for pills like I'm some kind of addict! So, I went out with Patty and bought some raw garlic, organic veggies and other supplements. I don't eat meat so I'm been so hungry this week! It's hard to sleep when my tummy is growling. I just hope that I can stick with it, I would love to have my old life back! I was only married a year before I got sick. The last 5 yrs. have been very rocky for us. He is a great guy but he's so angry at my disease. He says that he wants the girl back the he married. I haven't tried that spit test. Let me know if you find out anything. Do you have a good support system there? I hope that you don't have it, to get rid of it sounds so hard. Good luck! Love, Daryl Re: Really Stupid Question to All Hi Ann,This is not a stupid question at all! I get yeast infections and still have a hard time identifying an onset :)The way I knew I had Candida was because my Osteopathic doctor did a test called a Microscopy (the same test that can detect toxins, systemic silicone poisoning, parasites, fungus, etc) and said that he saw yeast. So basically, there's yeast in my blood...and a lot of it....thus, meaning I have a Candida problem. Had he not performed this test, I would have had NO IDEA that I had a Candida/yeast problem. I'm not sure how everyone else found out they have candida. There's probably some other ways to detect it as well.Take care!Kacey> Hey All,> > I know this is going to sound really stupid, but I feel like I'm > missing something with the yeast thing.
