Guest guest
You poor thing! I was always frustrated because all my tests have always been normal but I feel like I'm dying. I think that if they could just find something wrong than I would know what I'm dealing with. I feel lucky now that my tests were normal. How are you feeling? What was your husband reaction? Do you have a good Dr. that you like? We have so much in common-I had a long series of sinus infections, but I was a flight attendant so I thought that I kept getting it from sick people on the plane. I also have a 2 yr. old son, his name is Quinn and he has more energy than my husb. and I put together. In the morning, he is so happy to be up and wants to play outside, and I feel like I've been hit by a car. The first 2 hrs. of the day are the worst. I had hopes that I could get better before he's old enough to realize what's happening. I got pregant right in the middle of all the fibro stuff and I was taking alot of pain meds.-I was a nervous wreck for 9 months because I thought he was going to be very sick. Plus, I nursed him with those nasty implants in. I was explanted a year ago and I'm dreading bathing suit time. I had them for 13 yrs. so I was really used to the way I looked. If I can find a Dr. to give me diflucin, how much should I try to get? I hope that you aren't too worried, it's so hard when you have a little one to protect too. I have so much guilt about being ill all the time. I can't remember if I gave you my # it's is 702-361-6442 in Las Vegas-please call me anytime, I'd love to hear about your baby. Take care, Love, Daryl Re: shari-test results back-bad news... let me try this again... I got off line for a little bit this morning and received a call from my doc re: the tesing for cystic fibrosis gene and it was positive. I am not sure what happens from here - there is a ton of people who are carriers but I need to have my hubby tested to see where my son stands - if he were to be positive also then he could have the disease full blown. he is only two... I would hope that we would have known by now but he has had a lot of sicknesses with ear infections (already had tubes). I don't know what I would do if that were the case. it will also determine wheter or not I should have another child were I to feel good enough to try. I am freaking out a little. I am the one who suggested the test after doing a ton of internet research on chronic sinusitis and found a bunch of sites with studies of many people that are carriers of the CF gene have a mild case of the disease causing mucosal thickening illnesses frequently - aka - sinus infections leading to ear infections, upper respiratory-you name it. I knew in my heart that test was gonna be positive although I really did not want to hear it. I guess i was born a carrier and it layed dormant until these #@#$%$ implants ruined my life and health. I guess the immunity problems stirred it up. It is so sad that we have to continue to be our own doctors - do our own research then go to the doctors, pay them $$$ to tell them what tests we need and what we feel is wrong. I have been right pretty much every time. if I left it up to what the doctors said and not relyed on my own hours and hours of research (leading me here ) I would still have those nasty implants & would probably be dead in a year from candida. Now I have diagnosed the sinus problems and am pretty sure am showing signs of lupus, too. I just called and set up another appt with Dr. Vasey on the 26th to discuss lupus testing. what a morning I have had...and to top it off, my boss just called on my cellphone (after i have already called in sick) to see "just how bad I was feeling because he had plans this afternoon and it would be nice if i could make it in". agggghhhhhhhh! If he only knew. I really don't want them to know about the cf ot lupus stuff as I don't want any insurance problems. crap - he is calling me again - i have to go.(sorry fro the venting)love shari
Guest guest
daryl thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it. as far as the diflucan goes - I am not sure. I would try to get a round of the stronger stuff made for te fungal infections as i think the standard 150 pill for yeast won't do much good. I really wish you lived closer so the kids could play - 2 year olds are a lot of work but so much fun!! My hubby wasn't too worried about the test although he isn't in my shoes either. he will get tested too so I know if i need to put little Logan tough getting blood drawn. If my hubby is positive as a carrier then there is a 25% chance my son will have the disease full blown (CF) and a 50% chance he will just be a carrier. If my hubby is not positive then I won't worry about it. I know what you mean about bathingsuit season living in Florida and all - I am a 34a now and it isn't easy but I don't care. to be honest, I never really cared for the implant look as they looked fake so I would cover them up anyways. I had mine for 7 years so I know what you mean. I guess you and I have a lot in common! talk to you soon love shari
