They are amazing! I had heard about them before but had no clue about

the importance of keeping our bowels clear and running like a steam

engine. We should be having 3 bowel movements a day. If not, we are

storing all those toxins in the colon and eventually it builds up on

the walls of the colon causing a " mucoid plaque " . This can stay there

for years and cause auto toxicity (self poisoning). Colonics are

similar to an enema but it reaches much higher. The colon is 5 feet

long so an enema really doesn't get it. And one colonic doesn't even

scratch the surface. The water goes in and out with the therapist

sitting by your side asking you when you feel full. You need to try

to hold water in while she massages your abdomen for a while and

sometimes it take a while before the flood gates open. They use

between 25 and 30 gallons of water per session! It is not painful

although I felt a release afterwards called a healing crisis. Tears

seem to flow freely and you feel wiped out almost like having a baby.

There are ways to prepare for your colonic to make it more beneficial

like fasting for 2 days on vegies and fruits and using psyllium

fiber. My therapist has you do a cleansing drink the night before

with lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, onion and ceyenne pepper. It is

gross but effective. The cost is about 60 dollars and it takes over

an hour. Have fun! Joanne
