Hello Fellow Parents,

This is waay off topic, but hoping for someone out there who has some

experience with this...

Wondering if anyone has a Britax Regent car seat? We have a Honda

Accord and not sure if it will work for us. My daughter (almost 4 yrs

old) is slightly uncomfortable cause her feet get kind of trapped on

either side of the seat in front of her, while in her Britax

Roundabout. I would just hate to pay the huge amount of money for a

carseat I feel is the safest only to discover our car is too small.

I want this car seat for the 5 point harness systems and the side

impact stability. I don't know of any other that offer both.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

We have a britax regent, but we also have a mini van so size isnt an issue.

I would go to BRU and try the seat in your car to see if it would work. I

would also look into the Radian 80 which is thinner then the regent but has a

5-point up to 80 lbs as well, and Recaro also has a seat up to 80 lbs in a

harness that is much thinner then the regent.

Peace, love and light,

Alyssa

You might try the ivillage carseat board. They really are a fantastic group of

women.

The Cosco Apex, The Radian 80 seem to come as well regarded as the Regent. I

have a

friend who has the Apex. She said the install was a pain, but otherrwise is a

great seat and

her dd just loves it. She has Marathons for her other 2 dd's, but dd1 is right

at the height

that it wouldn't have been prudent for her to have purchased another Marathon

and the

Regent was out of her range. The Apex 5 point harnesses to 55 pounds, I think

(I'm sure I

could be wrong, it might go to 65 like the Britax Convertible models) Her dd is

on the larger

side of 4 year olds and has plenty of room in this seat.

I have a 4 year 8 m.o. Son who will quite literally fit in his Marathon until

he gets his license

to drive! LOL

I agree about going to BRU and trying out the seats on your car to see which one

has a better

fit.
