Guest guest
I know if you work in a hospital - no. JCAHO requires it, I believe. I opted for a chest x-ray after refusing the skin test - said I was allergic to phenol. They were NOT happy and made a great big deal about it. The employee health nurse kept telling me the skin test is safe for pregnant and nursing moms (I'm nursing) and I had to keep telling her, " it's not that " (choke), it's that I'm allergic. :-) So I opted for what I believe is the lesser of two evils. But there is an alternative blood test, described on the page above Will have to research if it is available in your area.
