Guest guest
This info was posted on a different group I am part of regarding this same subject: " For a long time, autism has been associated with the MMR vaccine, and more specifically blamed on the combination of mercury and other ingredients contained in that vaccine. While those ingredients are not good for the body in any way, new information has recently come to light that shifts the blame from the mercury and other damaging ingredients, to the virus itself. " A research scientist/doctor at Utah State University has been studying this particular topic and recently testified at the Congressional Hearings on Vaccines regarding his findings. According to his research, autism is not a result of the mercury, etc. contained in this vaccine but instead is a result of an over-production of antibodies created by the body to defend itself against the virus contained in the vaccine, specifically the measles virus. Of the children studied, over 80 percent of those with autism had hundreds of thousands more measles antibodies than 'normal' children. The delicate developing brain does not know how to deal with this over-abundance of antibodies and they end up wreaking havoc. " While it has been suggested that these findings explain why some people who have never had the MMR vaccine still present with Autism Disorder (they have come in contact with the measles virus, whether they got sick from it or not is irrelevant, and produced an over-abundance of antibodies against it), the question still remains of why some produce this over-abundance and others do not. Some research has suggested there is a genetic link, but this has yet to be proven. This USU scientist/doctor is continuing his research in this area. Guest guest
I listened to a board certified geneticist on you tube say that the gene theory concerning autism is impossible. That is because a genetic change can not manifest itself among a wide ranging population. We all have, as a population, millions of sets of parental lineage. It is impossible that the same genetic mutation would occur among so many parents across so wide a population range. I believe this gene theory autism connection to be just another propaganda effort, by the vaccine industry, to divert attention from the vaccine connection. Joe " Sheri B. The question to me would then be, if we have been passing this gene along all these many years (which would HAVE to be the case - genes don't just pop up, do they?) then what is the trigger factor? Guest guest
ummm isn't that what Wakefield was saying? that the measles virus was in their gut??
