The members and staff of Positive Women Network would like to sincerely thank everybody who made the inaugural function of the secretariat office of PWN+ a success. We would like to specially convey our regards to Dr. Gopal IAS, Former Project Director, TNSACS, Mr. Abraham, President, INP+, Dr. Lakshmi Bai, Project Director, Thai AIDS initiative, Ms. Padma Chandrasekar, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Dr. Palanisamy, Deputy Director, TNSACS, Dr. Manorama, Director, CHES, Ms. Nithya Balaji, Director, Nalamdana, Father Henry, AICUF, the board members of INP+, staff of INP+, and all our NGO friends, volunteers, and well wishers who were present with us during the function. After the invocation song, a two minute silence was observed as a mark of respect for people living with HIV/AIDS who were no more with us. Then, Ms. Padmaja, PWN+, delivered the Welcome address. The inaugural lamp was lit by Dr. Gopal IAS, Mr. Abraham, INP+, Dr. Lakshmi Bai, Ms.Padma Chandrasekar, and Dr. Palaniswamy. Ms. Kousalya spoke about the initiation and growth of Positive Women Network from 1998 till date, and thanked all the supporters and well wishers who were an integral part of the process. Dr. Gopal delivered the inaugural address, and stressed on the importance of upscaling HIV/AIDS programmes, and the involvement of people living with HIV. We would also like to convey our regards to many friends who could not be with us during the function, but who conveyed their wishes and support to us.
