The new ped was so pushy

So I took my 2 boys (2yrs and 4mos) to their new pediatrician yesterday.

She was all ready to give them their shots and I told her that we aren't

continuing their shots. So I get the speech about how I should out weigh the

consequences of getting them and not getting them, and how the risks are more

severe if I was to not continue them. Then she went on the say since Adam

(4mos)

already had the first series of shots, then I was better off to continue the

rest because it's safer and he is at high risk right now. I rolled my eyes

and I think she got the hint that I was sticking to my guns. She said she is

not going to push me on getting the immunizations, but she was trying to be

very convincing. She told me things how her vaccines are mercury free and

preservative free. I just told her that me and my husband decided we are not

going to do it and she says she wants my husband to come in at the next

appnt, I'm assuming she will try to talk my hubby into getting them immunized.

I

can't believe that. She even said that I should come in THIS WEEK instead of

their next months appnt w/ him so we could all talk. At the end of the

appointment she took Adam out into the hallway while I was getting Ray dressed

and

I asked her to please keep Adam in the room. I think from now on I will

take them in for individual appnts instead of having them seen at the same

time.

So I did sign the refusal form and I just can't believe what they have

written in these things. I signed it anyway and did cross out the area where

it

said " I understand that I am endangering my child.... " . Now do you all

think she is pushing it or what?? I feel like she is the type of doc who won't

stop asking us until we do it. I can't put myself through this!! I'm not

sure if I should continue my journey to finding a new ped or just stay w/

her...I don't know. I know a lot of you have encountered those pushy-type

docs,

so did you stay w/ them or did you find a new one? Maybe I could have stood

up for myself a little more and said " we've already made our decision as

parents, and that's that " but I didn't.
