CDC sends skeptics article (vaccines/autism) to all schools in USA

Hi everyone. I thought you should see what the CDC is sending to all

schools in USA. They send it to the district epidemiology office, whose

job it is to send it to all schools.

The attached articles on vaccine safety are well-written and may be very

useful in your interactions with parents, providers, and vaccine skeptics.

I think they are particularly helpful because they are written by outside,

independent reviewers who have tried to present an accurate " view of the

world " and are not part of the CDC, government, or other groups usually

held in disdain by the anti-vaccine people. I highly recommend that you

print out one copy and keep it handy for reference.

Attached please find 3 articles concerning vaccine safety, the

antivaccination movement and autism published in the November-December

issue of Skeptical Inquirer, the official publication of the Committee for

Skeptical Inquiry (CSI). The articles are well written and referenced, and

directly address some of the most vexing vaccine safety issues we

encounter. They are written at a level appropriate for most clinicians, and

the public with higher educational levels.

Historically, CSI investigates and debunks fringe and paranormal claims,

such as cryptozoology (Big Foot, Loc Ness, etc), UFO abductions and psychic

" phenomena " (ghosts, hauntings, psychics) but also addresses medical fringe

and " alt/comp " issues, such as chiropractic, naturopathy, magnet therapy,
