Guest guest
Shari, I was also angry when I thought of him getting extra money for returning the implants...that just shows that the manufacturers know that there is a large percentage of implants that are defective. According to Blais it is about 50%, so when we get two implants it is very likely that at least one will be defective. He said that they have know this for 20 years and still put these things out there. I bet my PS is furious because I got a good discount on my procedure because I am a return customer. I bet that he included that $600 price in his mind when giving the discount!!! It makes me furious to think of all the lies his staff told me trying their best to get me to leave the implants there so that I would have no proof they were leaking. They told me over and over what a mistake I was making and how foolish it was for me to take the implants! By the way, when my PS came out of surgery, he told my husband that both implants were definately leaking as they did not weigh what they should have. At the follow up appointment he tried to change his story that he did not know exactly how much they should have weighed and that they might not have been leaking. Finally after extensive interrogation he admitted that they were leaking. The staff then told me that he could not say they were definately leaking unless I sent them to Mcghan. Mcghan was my only proof. So I said, you're telling me that he is going to lie to my face? That he told me they were leaking and now he is changing his story??? Finally, they agreed that he would write a letter to the insurance that they should have weighed more so they must have been leaking. Better than nothing, I hope Blais will help in that area. Such LIARS it makes me sick how badly they want these implants back!!!!!!! If it wasn't for you and a few of the other girls I would have believed every lie... Ann > ann > > wonderful -I am sooo glad that you took my advice. Blais knows these people > and knows their games. i just wish that I had tried the WWF moves when I have > my leak reaplced in 1999. damn - i pisses me off to know that that freak got > money for returning it and ruined my chances of knowing back then that the > things were contaminated. it would have saved me 4 years of pain. oh well > -live and learn > > love shari
Guest guest
ann that is all they do is lie as far as I am concerned. I ad a total of three implants (4 operations) and all three were leaking - I'd say that Mentor has a 100% defective rate! I lie in bed sometimes thinking of all the things he said ( & didn't say) when I had my initial consultation. i trusted him and it is hard not to still be angry every time I think of it!! oh well - live & learn. I am glad you got them!!! mine look rather lovely now. I am almost 1 year post explant & they were gross looking then. Blais said that they would get much worse as they were feeing off of my body when they were inside as fluid were going in and out. Now that they are out the organisms are feeding on themselves & getinng blacker & blacker. There is a pic of mine in the pic section of the group right after removal- the right one had been in since 97 - the other was replaced in 99 after it leaked completely. love shari
