RH Negative Shot QUESTION

I had the shot at 28 weeks. I researched and researched SO much. I

called the company. I kept the lot #, talked to the pharmacist to

make sure there wasn't any preservatives that were harmful...blah,

blah,. I argued with my doctors. However, I couldn't find ANY

information on not taking the shot or any supporting information (

recently found this site).

The doctor's literally came in to the exam room as a pack of 3. they

were determined to get me to take the shot. One even commented, "

your baby will die if you don't " . I am not bullied easily and snapped

back as much as I could. They told me that if I got into a car

accident the blood could mix if the baby was injured. I kept asking

for examples of WHY or how would the baby's blood mix with mine

during the next 12 weeks. My husband was positive blood and I knew

that there was probably a great chance that her blood would be

positive too.

During the birth,..very very quick (less than 5 minutes) our blood

mixed so much they gave me 2 shots. I was so ticked afterwards as I

had an epidural and don't remember it. It wasn't until after I found

out.

So, if I never got that shot what would have happened? My daughter

was my first and I plan on having more children. Is it realistic to

say that blood mixing during the pregnancy would have had any effect

on my future pregnancy if I just got that shot only??

Isn't there a risk of blood mixing during my pregnancy due to injury

or whatever? If this shot has no mercury in it...what long term

effects has anyone seen on a baby? Obviously, we may never know the

exact link if this is the only shot given.

Lastly...lucky me I got 3 serious kidney stones during the last

trimester of my pregnancy. I went to the ER and they gave me

morphine. I checked with the pharmacist ( I am toning this way down!)

before I took the shot.

My daughter has not been vaccinated, but has slight excema and I do

not eat dairy, wheat or soy as she seems to have issues or an allergy

to them. That took a long time to get to this point.

Any thoughts on the above stuff?

Thanks

Stacey
