Guest guest
If you belong to any (like the group in which you are reading this), - it is important that you read the following: is now using something called " Web Beacons " to track Group users around the net and see what you're doing and where you are going (similar to Cookies.) is recording every web site and every group you visit. Take a look at their updated privacy statement by clicking link 1.) : 1.) http://info./privacy/us//details.html 2.) About half-way down the page, in the section on Cookies, you will see a link that says " Web Beacons " . Click on the phrase " Web Beacons " . 3.) That will bring you to a paragraph entitled " Outside the Network " . In this section you'll see a little " click here to opt out " link which will let you " opt-out " of their new method of snooping. 4.) Once you have clicked that link, you are exempted. Notice the " Success " message on the top of the next page. Also Note: Be careful because on that page there is also a " Cancel Opt-out " button, which appears on the very next screen to pop up, and, if clicked, will *undo* the opt-out. DO NOT CLICK THE CANCEL OPT-OUT button. It appears after you have hit the opt-out button so is very confusing. [FURTHER NOTE]: According to , this " OPT OUT " proceedure must be done on EVERY computer that you use and for each different browser that you use. If you use Mozilla Firefox AND microsoft Internet Explorer on a computer, you'll need to do it once from each, and you'll need to do it on your home AND any work computers, separately. mike O
