60 minutes on deaths from Bayer drug

Did anyone watch 60 minutes last night?

A new cardio drug Trasylol, was put on the market by Bayer and

marketed heavily. Despite studies that showed dangerous numbers of

patients who had kidney failure when on the drug, the left it on the

market.

Two independent studies showed pretty conclusively that the drug was

killing people, yet the FDA left it on the market, until one of the

researchers turned whistleblower.

Over 22,000 people died on this drug -- 1,000 a month. The FDA knew

it. Bayer knew it.
