Guest guest
Hi Pam, I had saline implants.... 8 years later I had a rupture, along with major neorological symptoms, including a seizure. The implanting PS removed the implants on both sides and on the side that had ruptured, he did his 1st " en bloc " . I had him speak to Dr. Kolb on the importance of it and how to proceed. During the surgery, he wondered if he should do the " en bloc " on the other side. He pondered the question and then decided not to. Don't ask me why he decided not to!!! Of course, with continued symptoms and the knowledge that I now have that the implants had leaked from the outset and that they were filled with huge amounts of bacteria(I had had one bacterial infection after another and no one could figure out why over those 8 years) I know now that in order for me to get well, I absolutley have to have the other side done properly. SOOOOOO.... on Sunday... I am flying to Ohio and having a ultra sound 1st to determine if the 1st side was done correctly ie " ALL the silicone was removed " and of course I have to have the side that had not ruptured done " en bloc. " Does that answer your question? Holly Pam wrote: >Holly, could you fill me in on what happened in your last surgery and >what you're going to have done?
