2. Presidential Runner McCain Supports Vaccine/Autism Link.

At a town hall meeting Friday in Texas, Sen. McCain, R-Ariz.,

declared that " there's strong evidence " that thimerosal, a

mercury-based preservative that was once in many childhood vaccines,

is responsible for the increased diagnoses of autism in the U.S. -- a

position in stark contrast with the view of the medical

establishment. We hope that McCain's Democratic opponent will be

equally unafraid to address these admittedly thorny issues up front

and honestly.

autism provoked outrage. Public health supremos, government

departments, big pharmaceutical firms and the medical hierarchy went

emerged identifying a link between bowel disease and autism, but were

buried in an avalanche of UK government propaganda. Dr Wakefield's

this fine, outstanding physician.

4. Let Parents Tell Vaccine Truth, Senator Louden.

The Associated Press has found that a small but growing number of

parents around the country are claiming religious exemptions to avoid

vaccinating their children when the real reason may be skepticism of

the shots or concern they can cause other illnesses. Senator

Louden is considering backing a proposal for a personal vaccine

exemption. " Parents should have the authority over government to

control the health of their children, " he says.
