Guest guest
Hi, I hope it is alright to ask this here. My son is 7, for over a year now he has had a constant clearing of the throat, nose seems congested at times but not always. I took him to the allergist, tested negative to allergies. Allergist said he has a sinus infection put him on nasonex for 2 weeks and wanted to continue, said he wasn't sure how long he would have to stay on it, we chose not to continue after 2 weeks being it is a steroid and it wasn't really helping, just slight change. ENT wants to put him on medication for reflux and xray his adenoids, tonsils are good and have no problems. My question is does anyone have any advice they can give me, I'm a little discouraged by the way they keep prescribing medications but not giving an actual diagnosis. The only symptom he really has is the constant clearing of the throat which is embarrassing for him when he is around people as he can't control it. Thanks for any help,
